Claim to the Iron Throne: After her father’s death in 129 AC, Rhaenyra declared herself Queen of Westeros and laid claim to the Iron Throne. This sparked a civil war between her and her half-brother Aegon II for control of the Seven Kingdoms.
The Dance of Dragons: The civil war between Rhaenyra and Aegon II became known as “The Dance of Dragons” due to its ferocity and destruction caused by both sides during their struggle for power.
Death: In 131 AC, Rhaenyra was captured by Aegon II’s forces at Dragonstone and subsequently executed by him on charges of treason against the crown. Her death marked an end to The Dance of Dragons as well as her claim to the Iron Throne
