Howdy, iam Dorothy Kight, Good luck today!

Oh man, the earth is really heating up! It’s no secret that global temperatures are on the rise, and it’s time to take action. We can’t just sit around twiddling our thumbs while our planet gets hotter and hotter. We need to make some serious changes if we want to keep things from getting out of hand. From reducing emissions to conserving energy, there are plenty of ways we can help cool down the planet. Let’s get started now before it’s too late!

Is Earth Getting Too Hot? [Solved]

Wow! Over the past four decades, extreme heat stress has skyrocketed - and it’s only gonna get worse, according to Colin Raymond from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in SoCal. He was the head honcho of a 2020 study on extreme heat and humidity that was published in Science Advances.

  • Global temperatures are rising: The average global temperature has increased by 1.1 degrees Celsius since the late 19th century, and is projected to continue to rise in the future.

  • Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent: Heat waves, droughts, floods, and other extreme weather events have become more frequent in recent years due to climate change.

  • Sea levels are rising: Sea levels have risen 8 inches since 1880 and are projected to rise another 1-4 feet by 2100. This will cause flooding of coastal areas and displacement of people living near the coastlines.

  • Glaciers are melting: Glaciers around the world are melting at an alarming rate due to rising temperatures, leading to a decrease in freshwater availability for many regions.

  • Arctic ice is shrinking: Arctic sea ice has decreased by 13% per decade since 1979 due to warming temperatures, leading to a decrease in habitat for polar bears and other Arctic species.

It’s getting hot out there! The Earth is heating up, and it’s not just a fluke. We’re seeing more extreme weather events, like heat waves and droughts, that are becoming the new normal. It’s time to take action before it gets too late. Let’s all do our part to reduce our carbon footprint and help cool down the planet!
