What Happens To Rhaenyra’S Baby? [Solved]
Ah, what a shame! It’s heartbreaking to hear that the baby didn’t make it. Although the show didn’t give us much of a glimpse, viewers were divided on whether the infant was perfectly healthy or had some sort of abnormality.
Rhaenyra Targaryen’s Baby: Rhaenyra Targaryen was the first female ruler of Westeros and had a baby with her husband, Daemon Targaryen. The baby was named Aegon II and he would later become king after his mother’s death.
Birth of Aegon II: Aegon II was born in 129 AC, during the Dance of the Dragons civil war between Rhaenyra and her half-brother, Aegon III. He was born in King’s Landing and his birth marked a major turning point in the war as it gave Rhaenyra an heir to her throne.
Death of Rhaenyra: Unfortunately, shortly after giving birth to Aegon II, Rhaenyra died from complications related to childbirth at just 28 years old. Her death marked the end of her reign as Queen of Westeros and left her son as the new king-in-waiting for when he came of age.
Legacy: Despite his young age at the time, Aegon II would go on to become one of Westeros’ most influential rulers due to his mother’s legacy that she left behind for him before she passed away. He is remembered today for being a strong leader who brought peace back to Westeros after years of civil war between rival factions vying for control over the Iron Throne
