Frederick W Franz: Franz became president of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society after Knorr’s death in 1977 and served until his own death in 1992 at age 99 years old. During his tenure as president, he oversaw further expansion for Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide with membership reaching over 6 million by 1992 when he died
