Oh man, did Daemon really choke when it came to Rhaenyra? It’s a question that’s been on everyone’s mind since the events of the Dance of Dragons. From what we know, it seems like Daemon had a real chance to make things right with Rhaenyra but he just couldn’t pull it off. Yikes! It was an epic fail and now we’re all left wondering what could have been if he’d just taken the opportunity.
Why Did Daemon Choke Rhaenyra? [Solved]
Daemon was so fed up with Viserys’ betrayal that he just snapped and strangled Rhaenyra. I mean, it’s totally out of character for him, but you can kinda see why he did it. It’s like the straw that broke the camel’s back - he’d had enough!
Rhaenyra Targaryen: Rhaenyra was the eldest child of King Viserys I Targaryen and his first wife, Queen Aemma Arryn. She was a claimant to the Iron Throne during the Dance of the Dragons civil war in Westeros.
Daemon Targaryen: Daemon was Rhaenyra’s half-brother, born to King Viserys I and his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower. He was a loyal supporter of his sister’s claim to the Iron Throne and fought on her behalf during the civil war.
Choking Incident: During a heated argument between Rhaenyra and Daemon at Dragonstone, Daemon grabbed her by the throat in an attempt to silence her before being pulled away by their supporters.
Aftermath: Following this incident, both siblings were deeply ashamed of their actions and reconciled shortly afterwards with no further violence occurring between them for the remainder of their lives.
Did daemon choke Rhaenyra? Well, it sure looks that way! It appears he got ahold of her and just wouldn’t let go. It’s a real shame, too; she didn’t deserve that kind of treatment. Thankfully, she managed to get away in the end. Phew!
